Prosthetics for Ukrainian defenders in Washington, DC

After five weeks of prosthetics and rehabilitation at the MCOP clinic for Andrii Klymchuk and Pavlo Ponomarenko, the men returned home with their bionic prostheses. 

And we are happy to share with you the events of the recent weeks of their stay in Washington. Besides the standard procedures at the clinic, these weeks were full of various interesting activities our defenders were invited to! 

During their rehabilitation, the men did exercises to perform their household routine because you always need to be able to fold your bed and towels neatly! 😉  
 

An unconventional approach to rehabilitation exercises is the task of running a distance without spilling water. Of course, our men coped with it!

Ukrainian defenders are always welcome guests in the media. Andrii and Pavlo gave another interview. 
 

Representatives of the Veterans Fishing Adventure organization invited our military to go fishing. The men had a lot of fun and positive emotions, especially from the huge catfish they caught!
 

A weekend for interesting leisure — the next day the soldiers went in search of adventures with the members of the Veterans Fishing Adventure organization! This time it was horseback riding, and the men with prostheses learned to control a horse.

After the rehabilitation, Andrii organized a small cooking masterclass.

Pavlo tried his hand at kayaking, a sport that is very useful in the rehabilitation process. He learned to feel the balance of his own body.

The men visited the Museum of Aviation and Cosmonautics.
 

The last days at the clinic, farewell to the prosthetists and rehabilitation therapists, and the long-awaited journey home!
