When self-care becomes the first step towards caring for others, events are born that change not only one's condition but also one's life. This was the case with the charity initiative of the Future for Ukraine Foundation, the ‘108-in-se’ yoga studio, and the DOM hotel and restaurant complex, which hosted the second resource morning of this season. The event, inspired by the atmosphere of Bali, was created to provide guests with peace and a chance to recharge, and, most importantly, offer healing to those who need it most.
The Future for Ukraine Foundation has created a completely new kind of charity event by offering a format that allows donors to enjoy a high-quality vacation and donate to support women affected by war.
The guests of the event had an intense program to discover their true selves in one day, through yoga, meditation, a tea ceremony, and live communication in a cozy space. All proceeds from the retreat were donated to the GIDNA project, which provides psychological assistance to women survivors of conflict-related sexual violence, and to those whose relatives went missing or are in captivity. In partnership with DOM and ‘108-in-se’ yoga studio, with the support of the NUGA STUDIO brand, the retreat has become an example of how charity can be beautiful and effective at the same time. The fundraising for the GIDNA project is still ongoing, and anyone can contribute.
"We believe that sexual violence in wartime is a topic that is painful but necessary to talk about. And if our space, our resources, and our audience can help at least partially, we are obliged to do so. We want every DOM event to have a deep meaning — not only to restore, but also to support those who truly need it. I can say for sure that charity projects unite us and give us a sense of involvement in something bigger than ourselves. The team makes a difference, empathy grows, and pride in what we do appears. There is an inner peace that appears because you are part of something good, because you work not only for results and KPIs, but for the sake of deeper values. And it fills you up," says Anastasia Bukovska, Marketing Director at DOM.
For one day, the DOM location becomes a real oasis for deep inner immersion. The program included morning yoga from the ‘108-in-se’ yoga studio and Yelyzaveta Penko, sound hilting, and a tea ceremony from the Tyama team, and breakfast, during which the participants shared their impressions and experiences:
"I am a mother of a one-and-a-half-year-old son, and today, during soundhealing practice, my body was able to relax for the first time in my motherhood. During this hour of incredible and sometimes strange sounds, I was able to sleep for the first time," said Natalia, the retreat participant.
“This musical mystery helps listeners to relax as much as possible, release physical and mental blocks and even traumas, focus on the positive in life, tune in to effective work and productivity, improve their psychological state, and feel real pleasure from the acoustic session and life,” commented the Tyama team.
The first charity resource morning was held in partnership with the Medik8 brand, which makes a significant contribution to supporting Ukrainian women. We are extremely grateful to everyone who joined the event for the second time and to our partners, DOM and NUGA STUDIO. Together during the two events, we managed to raise over 76,000 UAH to support women who have asked for help from the GIDNA project. Once again, we have seen how sincere care can change the world! The next charity relaxing event at DOM will take place on August 18-19. You can book your place on the DOM complex Instagram. All practices on August 18-19 (accommodation is not included in the price) cost 5,000 UAH.
