War leaves invisible scars that require comprehensive mental health support. Every day, the psychologists of the GIDNA project work with women from occupied and deliberated territories who have experienced sexual violence during the war, the loss of loved ones, captivity, or relatives missing during the war. Many of them face depression, burnout, PTSD, and undefined loss, which leads to profound emotional instability.
To provide women with even more support, we have joined efforts with the Dobrobut Medical Network. From now on, all participants of the GIDNA project can receive a free psychiatrist consultation alongside psychological support. The doctor’s conclusion remains confidential and is not disclosed without the woman’s consent.
This project enables the provision of comprehensive, qualified, and safe assistance to women, thereby enhancing the results of therapy and contributing to their recovery and overall well-being.
The GIDNA project provides qualified psychological support to:
- women who have survived sexual violence during the war;
- women whose relatives are in captivity or went missing during hostilities.
