The first Children Hub in Warsaw welcomes young Ukrainians from June 6. The Future for Ukraine Foundation opened a center for refugee children thanks to a partnership with the local administration of Warsaw. A city has taken on the biggest challenge of accommodating refugees from Ukraine.
During this time, we registered 1127 visits to the center. 490 visits were in June and 637 in July. 189 unique children (3-12 years old) had the opportunity to learn more about the culture, history, and traditions of a new country for them.
During their stay in the hub, children create patriotic drawings at the art therapy, working with the emotions they feel due to relocation and war, engaged in music and neurorhythmics, and other activities with peers from Ukraine.
The second Children Hub will open in Warsaw on August 17. It will be able to receive about 100 Ukrainian children per day.
FFU plans to create more than 50 centers in the EU, with the possibility of each hub providing daily support to 100 to 250 children.
