The recovery of Ukrainian defenders is not just about training and rehabilitation; it’s also about rebuilding their lives, where there is space for new experiences and vivid emotions.

We are grateful to everyone who supports them on this journey! Particularly, we would like to thank Katya Feya, who initiated the group practice “Healing with Sound” and organized a charity fundraiser to support the Future for Ukraine Foundation. Charity sound healing evening initiated by DAH brought together 31 guests united by a common goal. Among them were five veterans who are currently undergoing a gait optimization and rehabilitation program from MCOP and FFU.

Sound healing is not about “magical” sounds. It is about vibrations that the body feels at the level of the nervous system. They reduce stress levels, help release tension, and trigger natural recovery processes. For veterans, it is also a way to socialize and have new experiences in a safe space where they can stay and feel supported.

"I know that you deal with the body every day — its recovery, pain, limitations, and strength. Sound healing is about another aspect of working with the body that affects it at the level of the nervous system. Vibrations affect muscles, fluids in the body, tissues, and trigger processes that help the body and nervous system transition from a state of struggle, stress, or tension to a state of recovery. For those who are currently recovering from injuries, it is a gentle support that can complement the rehabilitation process," comments Katya Feya.

Together, we managed to raise 17,000 UAH at the charity sound healing evening. These funds will support our defenders in recovering more quickly and restoring their strength. MCOP’s gait optimization program, supported by the Future for Ukraine Foundation, is an initiative that helps defenders fully master their prosthesis: putting it on and taking it off independently, walking confidently, climbing stairs, and even falling and getting back up safely.

The program lasts four weeks and includes 12 individual sessions led by MCOP specialists — experts who have been helping people around the world master prosthetics and regain strength and confidence in their bodies for over 20 years.

We want to express our gratitude to the event organizers and everyone who contributed to supporting Ukrainian veterans.
