LEVCHYK SPECTRUM HUB — a place where miracles become possible: what parents of children on the spectrum dream about

Raising a child with autism means giving them maximum support, patience, and love. It is a difficult path, and to make it easier, parents need support and a little faith in miracles.

LEVCHYK SPECTRUM HUB is a space that provides daily support for children on the autism spectrum and their families. Here, a team of methodologists and specialists works to develop the necessary skills, helping children take steps toward independence and a confident life in society. This mission is made possible thanks to the ongoing support of partners and donors, including our long-time patron Vadym Stolar.

Today, LEVCHYK SPECTRUM HUB provides correctional help to IDP children and children from frontline areas. In 2025, a center in Mykolaiv was opened — a safe and stable space where children receive daily support, development, and a sense of security even during the war.

Before the holidays, we spoke with the families of our pupils and asked what parents raising children with ASD dream about most right now, and how LEVCHYK SPECTRUM HUB helps make those dreams come true.

Kateryna, mother of 3-year-old Mark:

“My biggest dream is to hear him say ‘mom’. To see my Mark turn to me, look me in the eyes, and speak... Thanks to his classes at LEVCHYK, he can already say a few words, play, and communicate — this is a huge step for us.”

Valentyna, mother of 7-year-old Artem:

“LEVCHYK is a little home where there is development, entertainment, and care. I dream of a room for my son, of traveling... But most of all, I dream of him noticing the world around him more often. And I see how this becomes a reality.”

Tetyana, mother of 12-year-old Daniela:

“Thanks to her classes at LEVCHYK, Daniela has become more confident, learned to construct sentences, tell stories, and play the piano — her dreams have come true. And so are ours.”

Anastasia, mother of 8-year-old Volodymyr:

“Every mother dreams that her child will integrate into society and feel confident. My Volodymyr started talking and went to school thanks to LEVCHYK.”

Olena, mother of 9-year-old Sasha:

"I dream with all my heart that my child will be happy and socialize, that all problems in communicating with other people will disappear! I dream that my son will react calmly to prohibitions and the unpredictable emotions of others. Thanks to our LEVCHYK, my most cherished dream has come true — my child is happy! And he always goes to class in a good mood.”

Iryna, mother of 5-year-old Eric:

“My dream as a mother is for Eric to learn to play and communicate with his peers. At LEVCHYK, Eric has already acquired many important skills related to speech comprehension, imitation, forming requests, sensory-motor development, and others, which have formed a solid foundation for the development of vital skills. We thank everyone who helped us with this! The psychological support project for parents is significant to us.”

Tetyana, mother of 9-year-old Matvii:

“As the mother of a child with special needs, I dream that my child will feel comfortable in society and be ready for an independent life in the future. Thanks to LEVCHYK, my child has learned to communicate and interact with those around him.”

Olga, mother of 9-year-old Sasha:

“I dream that he will become as independent as possible. That he can get a better education and have his own business, and be connected with people. As parents, we will do our best to ensure that our son has his own home and financial security, but we really want him to have social and material support from the government and equal rights. Our Sasha dreams of traveling, the sea, and seeing his grandmothers, grandfather, and our friends more often. And we also dream that one day there will be a school at LEVCHYK’s base, where it will be the same cozy, professional, and kind atmosphere .”

Supporting LEVCHYK SPECTRUM HUB means giving children with ASD the chance to enjoy happy childhood moments and helping them acquire vital life skills. It is a path to confidence, independence, socialization, and discoveries. We are grateful to everyone who supports us on this journey!
