FFU became part of the Operation Renew Prosthetics program, in which the leading international clinic for prosthetics MCOP International (MCOPi), the Ministry of Health of Malta, and our foundation joined together for a common goal.
This goal is to help 24 Ukrainian military personnel with limb amputations receive prostheses and undergo a rehabilitation period in 2023. Already in January, the first trip of two of our fighters to the clinic in Malta will take place. Here, they will go through the process of prosthetics and rehabilitation. MCOP specialists based at the Steward Health Care Malta (SHCM) clinic will help them with this.
The clinic is ready to cover all medical expenses for the prosthesis and rehabilitation process of the patients. Our foundation covers the costs of insurance, transfers and flights, accommodation, and meals. For that reason, we opened a collection of € 15,000 to transport the men there and provide them with a comfortable stay during prosthetics.
Each of the patients will stay in Malta for about 4 weeks. Specialists of the clinic are looking forward to Ukrainians who have suffered from hostilities and are ready to provide high-quality prostheses, therapy, and training that will help them return to a fulfilled life and work for the benefit of an independent and peaceful Ukraine in the future.
We are sincerely grateful to our friends and partners for doing everything possible and impossible for our soldiers!
Join us and contribute to the "Prosthetics for the military in Malta" case. Only with your help, we can help to take care of restoring the health of our military!
