In May, Future for Ukraine Inc. continued the implementation of the Training of Trainers in Physical Therapy and Prosthetic Rehabilitation program, funded through the grant support of the Pfizer Foundation.

The program is designed to train faculty members of Ukrainian medical universities, including Bogomolets National Medical University and the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy, who, starting in September 2026, will be able to integrate this knowledge into their own academic programs and teach modern approaches to physical and prosthetic rehabilitation to students and professionals.

As part of the program, two training modules were delivered in May:
  • Module 2: Orthotic Assessment & Management in Rehabilitation;
  • Module 3: Upper Limb Loss Rehabilitation.
The modules were delivered by Farhad Ostovari, DPT, a prosthetic rehabilitation specialist, Clinical Director of MCOP International, and developer of the program’s educational materials. The training is part of a broader effort to adapt the educational curriculum, prepare methodological materials, and strengthen the capacity of Ukrainian medical universities in physical and prosthetic rehabilitation.
