Defibrillators for the military and civilians rescue from the front line

To save lives at the front line and nearby zones, the rescue services are required to respond immediately. Evacuation brigades, emergency services, and other units that save the Ukrainian’s lives at the war must be 100% equipped.

For this purpose, the FFU team purchased and handed over the necessary medical equipment to the enterprise of the Emergency and Rescue Service of the Ukrainian Red Cross, which provides medical support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

These are automatic and semi-automatic devices that significantly increase the efficiency of cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the wounded and are convenient to use in evacuation teams.

  • 1 defibrillator-monitor BeneHeart D30, cost of UAH 202,000.
  • 11 semi-automatic defibrillators BeneHeart C1A with battery, bag, and electrodes, for a total cost of UAH 660,000.

The head of the Emergency and Rescue Service of the Ukrainian Red Cross, Arkadii Dabagian reports that, in addition to defibrillators, there are also the following necessities to equip evacuation vehicles:

  • Oxygen concentrators, which provide an instant supply of oxygen when evacuating the wounded in niches;
  • Monitors that show the patient's main vital signs — pulse, pressure, blood oxygen level;
  • Hemostatic agents, bandages, tourniquets, and other necessary medical equipment to support the life of the wounded during transportation.

We sincerely thank our partners who joined this important initiative! Your contribution helps to save the lives of Ukrainians who protect our freedom at the frontline!

Funds for the purchase of defibrillators were collected at the charity auction Winter Fundraiser under the patronage of our longtime friends and partners Rochester Regional Health Foundations and with the support of Julia Snyder

The organizers collected USD 21,975 to support the Medical project of the FFU Foundation. The American supermarket chain Wegmans also provided financial support.
