Future for Ukraine Inc. and Feldman Ecopark have launched an official partnership to bring the international community together in support of the Ecopark and help provide food and essential care for its 4,500 animal residents.
Under the signed Memorandum of Understanding, Future for Ukraine Inc. will serve as Feldman Ecopark’s official fundraising partner in the United States. The U.S.-based foundation will raise charitable contributions from individuals, companies, foundations, and partner organizations and direct the funds toward the Ecopark’s agreed-upon needs.
A Rescue Story That Moved the World
Located near Kharkiv, Feldman Ecopark is Ukraine’s largest privately operated social and humanitarian complex of its kind. Its work combines animal rescue and rehabilitation, environmental education, and psychosocial support programs for children and adults.
Before Russia’s full-scale invasion, the Ecopark was home to approximately 5,000 animals representing 300 species and welcomed millions of visitors each year.
In 2022, the Ecopark, located only 25 kilometers from the Ukrainian-Russian border, found itself directly in the line of fire. For more than six months, its territory was subjected to continuous attacks. Nearly all of its animal enclosures, rehabilitation centers, and other infrastructure were destroyed.
Approximately 300 animals were killed, including lions and other large predators, orangutans, chimpanzees, kangaroos, hoofed animals, and birds. Six Ecopark employees and volunteers were killed while helping rescue the animals, and many others were injured.
Between March and May 2022, the Ecopark’s team and volunteers evacuated nearly 5,000 animals while the area remained under attack. It became one of the largest animal rescue operations carried out under wartime conditions.
The gradual restoration of Feldman Ecopark began at the end of 2022. After parts of the territory were cleared of mines, the team started rebuilding animal enclosures, bringing evacuated animals home, and restoring the Ecopark’s social and rehabilitation programs.
Today, approximately 4,500 animals live at Feldman Ecopark. Every day, they require nutritious food, veterinary care, safe living conditions, and the dedicated work of animal care professionals.
At the same time, the Ecopark continues to rescue and care for animals affected by the war, including those injured by attacks and fires, as well as animals left without owners.
Life Continues
Despite the devastating losses, new life is once again emerging at Feldman Ecopark. In 2026, the Ecopark welcomed deer, roe deer, fallow deer, lambs, goats, foals, young primates, and other newborn animals.
One especially meaningful arrival was Damir, a rare white Bengal tiger cub born to Abat and Alba on March 5, 2026. Today, Damir is growing quickly, playing, and eagerly exploring the world around him.
For the Ecopark’s team, his birth became a powerful symbol of life continuing after destruction. But every new life also brings a lasting responsibility. Like thousands of other animals at the Ecopark, Damir needs nutritious food, veterinary care, warmth, and a safe environment.
Help Feed 4,500 Animals
The first joint initiative of Future for Ukraine USA and Feldman Ecopark is a campaign to raise $350,000.
The campaign will help provide food for the Ecopark’s 4,500 animal residents and build the supplies needed to carry them safely through the winter.
Donations are accepted by Future for Ukraine Inc., a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Funds raised through the campaign will be directed toward the agreed-upon needs of Feldman Ecopark in accordance with the partnership memorandum.
This partnership gives donors in the United States a clear and reliable way to support Feldman Ecopark through a registered American charitable organization.

Help protect a place where life is returning after devastation
The fundraising campaign is organized by Future for Ukraine Inc. (FFU USA), a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The campaign is available through two platforms: publicly through Givebutter and through Benevity for employees of companies participating in workplace giving and donation-matching programs.
The stated goal of $350,000 is the combined goal of the entire campaign, not a separate fundraising target for each platform. All funds received by FFU USA through this campaign will be directed to providing food, veterinary care, and essential daily support for the animals at Feldman Ecopark. If the total amount raised exceeds the stated goal, all additional funds will also be transferred to Feldman Ecopark to address the animals’ urgent needs.
