For a long time, we have enjoyed working with children and their families at the LEVCHYK SPECTRUM HUB, providing them with much-needed correctional assistance.
This fall, nine new lion cubs joined the Hub and have already begun the active learning process with the other children. Currently, 42 children regularly attend LEVCHYK SPECTRUM HUB. In September, they received 411 correctional classes.
In addition to the existing program, this school year LEVCHYK SPECTRUM HUB methodologists prepared a lot of new and interesting things for the pupils. At the parents' meeting, they presented three new classes for the children and introduced the MPR testing methodology.
Methodologists told parents about a new special class for school preparation for lion cubs who are already actively preparing for school. It might be an additional stressor for children with ASD. This new class will focus on developing social and communication skills: communicating with other children and teachers; following directions and daily routines to help children feel comfortable in their new environment; and developing independent behavior.
Another new class is art therapy, where children will learn to release their emotions and create without rules and restrictions. This creative class is about developing the children's motor skills, concentration, and cognitive abilities.
A music therapy room opened under the guidance of a new teacher. This is a psychotherapeutic class based on the therapeutic effect of music on a child’s psychological state. Such classes promote the formation of new neural connections in the brain, relieve tension and stress, develop memory and speech, and balance hyperactivity.
We constantly work on the quality of our services. In the near future, the center is going to conduct tests using the new methodology — Merrill-Palmer-Revised Scales Developmental Scale (MPR). These are world-renowned child development assessment scales, the first diagnostic methods for the youngest in Ukraine.
We thank parents for their trust and everyone who supports our lion cubs, especially the patron Vadym Stolar! Onward to bigger achievements so every child can live a bright, fulfilling life and integrate safely into society.
