Olena Sotnyk, co-founder and vice president of the Future for Ukraine Foundation, gave an interview to CTV News, one of Canada's largest media.
On the air, Sotnyk spoke about the attitude of Ukrainians to Mariupol and the work of the Foundation's team.
"For us, Mariupol is a symbol of struggle and fight for freedom. We’re not going to give up to fight for any life in Mariupol. The whole world should mobilize all our efforts to change the situation", — said Sotnyk.
The news anchor also asked how Ukrainian women help in the war, as the FFU team consists exclusively of women.
"As women, we want to help those who suffered the most in the war – children and those who need medical care. On our website, we receive hundreds of requests for help from Ukrainians. And mostly it is requested for basic needs, such as food and medicine. Every day of the war brings new victims, challenges, and humanitarian problems,” — says Olena.
