Cooperation between the Medik8 brand and the GIDNA project

Earlier, we announced our new partnership with the British skincare brand Medik8 to support of the GIDNA project. In December 2023, the official representative of the Medik8 brand in Ukraine — Starlit Group — transferred 10% of all revenue on medik8.ua to the project’s needs.

The GIDNA project provides free qualified psychological assistance to women who survived sexual violence during the war, as well as to women who are experiencing an unspecified loss of loved ones due to hostilities — when the fact of death has not been confirmed, and the person is considered missing.

The GIDNA program is intended for short-term therapy — 10 online sessions that help a woman to open up and entrust her pain to the therapist to find inner strength and return to full-fledged life.

Funds transferred from Medik8 to the needs of GIDNA will help cover the cost of 421 sessions with the therapist. This is a great psychological help for more than 40 Ukrainian women!

The founder of Starlit Group (the official distributor of Medik8 in Ukraine), Tetiana Taran, admits that it is difficult to talk about sexual violence during war. "We chose a different path. We joined the GIDNA project from Future for Ukraine, which provides free psychological assistance to those who have suffered from violence and also fights stigma in our society," said Tetiana.

We are grateful to the Medik8 brand team in Ukraine and everyone who placed an order on the medik8.ua website in December. Join us in supporting Ukrainian women together because they deserve to live their best lives!
