FFU delegation met with the Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA in Washington, DC

Cooperation with state institutions is essential to the Future for Ukraine foundation’s work. The recovery of the country and the well-being of Ukrainians are our common values.

Together with our American partners, Medical Center Orthotics & Prosthetics (MCOP), the FFU foundation has provided state-of-the-art prosthetics and rehabilitation for 32 Ukrainian veterans with complex limb amputations in the US. Recently, MCOP opened its representative office in Kyiv to bring high-quality prosthetic services closer to Ukrainians.

Olena Nikolaienko, President of the FFU in the USA, presented the foundation’s achievements, emphasizing that transparency and an expert-driven approach help us build long-term partnerships with donors and beneficiaries, improving their lives.

At the meeting, together with representatives of MCOP, Oksana Markarova, Borys Kremenetskyi, and Oleksandr Rozhkov, we discussed the importance of expanding access to effective prosthetics and rehabilitation solutions for Ukrainian veterans and implementing international standards in the industry.

“We were happy to share the results of our work over the three years since the program launched through today, as we are sincerely proud of each case from our foundation: helping severely wounded veterans, providing psychological assistance to women survivors of conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) and those whose relatives went missing or are in captivity (Indefinite loss), and helping children with ASD from the LEVCHYK SPECTRUM HUB. We believe that transparency and competence in our work determine our success, and together we can do even more!” says Olena Nikolaienko.

We sincerely thank Ambassador Oksana Markarova, Defense Attaché Major General Borys Kremenetskyi, and Colonel Oleksandr Rozhkov for their support and warm reception.
