Helping with an open heart: Future for Ukraine Foundation's assistance directions

“Ukrainians for Ukrainians” is the idea that gave rise to the Future for Ukraine foundation, now operating in Ukraine, the USA, and Poland.
For the past three years, we have stayed true to our mission: helping those affected by russia’s brutal war against Ukraine.

The path is not always easy — but it is always important. For veterans reclaiming full-fledged lives after amputation. For children who can feel safe again and explore the world. For women finding the strength to move forward despite traumatic experiences. Each of these stories fuels our team to keep going every single day.

MEDICAL HELP

Prosthetics of Ukrainians

FFU provides prosthetics and rehabilitation for defenders who lost limbs due to severe injuries during the russian war against Ukraine.

32 Ukrainian defenders have received high-quality prosthetics and rehabilitation abroad for a total of over USD 2 million.

Two Ukrainian soldiers received high-quality prosthetics and rehabilitation at MCOP Ukraine.

In the first half of 2025, 22 Ukrainian veterans will participate in a gait optimization program.

Metal osteosynthesis surgeries, which involve fusing bones using titanium plates, were performed on 211 wounded soldiers and civilians.

As part of the Medical direction:

  • We provide medicines and necessary medical equipment at the request of medical institutions in Ukraine.
  • Together with our Japanese partners, we have donated 5 batches of wheelchairs totaling 1095 units for the needs of vulnerable categories of the population (children with disabilities, the elderly, seriously wounded soldiers, etc.).

HELPING CHILDREN

The LEVCHYK SPECTRUM HUB in Lviv:

  • free correctional classes for children with autism spectrum disorders who were forced to move to Lviv with their families due to the war;
  • since February 2023, the hub has provided more than 13,000 correctional classes for 68 children on the spectrum;
  • specialists who regularly acquire new knowledge and approaches to working with children;
  • unique therapeutic and developmental classes: dark sensory relaxation room, music and art therapy;
  • testing of children using the Merrill-Palmer-Revised Scales of Development

We create an autism-friendly environment by collaborating with socially responsible businesses and celebrities on our initiatives.

HELPING WOMEN

The GIDNA project is a space of trust and support for women, where they regain the strength to live fully again despite their traumatic experiences.

  • free and anonymous psychological help to women survivors of conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV);
  • free psychological help to women whose relatives went missing or are in captivity (Indefinite loss);
  • restoring a woman's internal resilience through trust and qualified support;
  • project psychologists undergo regular supervision from specialists from the Israel Trauma Coalition (ITC).

The following work was conducted during the project:

  • 678 sessions in the CRSV direction;
  • 355 individual and 50 group sessions in the Indefinite loss direction.

111 women have already received assistance from the GIDNA project.
