Our dream to help as many Ukrainian families raising children on the spectrum as possible is gradually coming true. LEVCHYK is expanding from now on, free correctional sessions are also available in Mykolaiv!
On November 10, the new LEVCHYK SPECTRUM HUB officially opened its doors at 12-A Pozdovzhnia Street, 50a, Mykolaiv.
The center in Mykolaiv was launched through the joint efforts of the Future for Ukraine (FFU) charity foundation, the Mykolaiv City Council, and with the partnership support of Nova Ukraine.
LEVCHYK in Mykolaiv provides free services for children from the Mykolaiv region who have a confirmed diagnosis of ASD.
Here, specialists in sensory integration, speech therapy, and ABA therapy work with children to help them understand and manage their emotions and sensations, and develop crucial social and life skills for independent life.

Currently, 36 children attend the hub in Mykolaiv, and another 12 are on the waiting list. This was announced at the opening by Anna Kovalova, CEO of Future for Ukraine. “It’s important to mention that we provide comprehensive, individualized support for children on the spectrum. The program lasts from six months to one year, depending on the goals set. This approach allows the child to open up and trust the learning process,” Anna noted.
The official opening was attended by Deputy Mayor of Mykolaiv Anatolii Petrov, who spoke about the region’s need for such child development and adaptation centers and shared future plans.
Deputy Mayor of Mykolaiv Anatolii Petrov“When the FFU foundation proposed opening such a project in Mykolaiv, we immediately contacted the Department of Social Protection. They conducted a survey and found that there are 120 children in Mykolaiv with a confirmed autism diagnosis. Therefore, we plan to expand the staff so that 50 children can attend classes. Later, we will work on improving the facility to accommodate everyone who needs the hub’s support.”
The new center in Mykolaiv has already been operating for two weeks. It is currently in the introductory stage, during which children get acquainted with teachers and methodologists. Classes are based on core correctional therapy — speech therapy, sensory integration, and ABA therapy. According to Olga Hliuza, Head of Projects and Programs of the “Helping Children” direction, such a gradual workload is necessary so that children can adapt to their tutors, while methodologists assess their needs and develop an individual development plan for each child.
The first LEVCHYK SPECTRUM HUB was established by the FFU foundation and with the support of the patron Vadym Stolar, in Lviv in 2023, to help internally displaced families raising children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Over almost three years of operation, the center has provided more than 18,000 correctional sessions.
We are grateful to Nova Ukraine for the grant that made it possible to expand the assistance for children on the spectrum, and to the Mykolaiv City Council for their support in implementing the project. We continue to work for the stable support of Ukrainian families!
