On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a diplomatic event was held in Washington. Honored guests from the US military, representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in the US, Ukrainian and American military personnel, volunteers, and representatives of the Ukrainian community participated.
“Every day we live, we owe them, our defenders, and their courage and willingness to fight back against the russian occupiers and protect our free future”, emphasized the Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Oksana Markarova. And this point reflects the great value of the occasion.
Ukrainian defenders, who are currently undergoing prosthetics in America from the Future for Ukraine Foundation, and the FFU team members also attended an important diplomatic event at the invitation of Major General Borys Kremenetskyi.
On this day, the Ukrainian side had a unique opportunity to meet with key figures from the American military and tell them about Ukraine’s realities and needs. Thus, our defenders talked with Laura Cooper, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Ukraine, Russia, and Eurasia, and discussed the possibilities of American assistance to Ukraine in the veterans’ prosthetics and rehabilitation field.
Among the honored guests of the event who came to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were US Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro, US Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall, Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency Lieutenant General Jeffrey Cruse, Commander of the California National Guard Major General Matthew Beavers, as well as military attachés of Ukraine's partners.
We thank the Ukrainian ambassador to the USA, Oksana Markarova, and Major General Borys Kremenetskyi for inviting us to an important event for Ukrainian diplomacy. We also sincerely thank our American partners who support Ukraine on the pathway to freedom!
